The Center for Environmental Standardization is headed by Halyna Buzan.
The Center for Environmental Standardization operates to ensure the development and updating of regulations, implementation of international and European standards in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety in accordance with the requirements of national standardization of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Technical Committee for Standardization TC 82 " as well as participation in the work of international technical committees / subcommittees on ISO and IEC standardization, regional technical standardization committees CEN and CENELEC.
The main tasks of the Center are:
providing a systematic approach to the implementation of standardization work in all areas of TC 82 and the Academy at the local, regional and international levels;
ensuring effective interaction and support of dialogue and partnership relations between the Academy and executive bodies, institutions and enterprises in the field of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment;
conducting internal audits of the effectiveness of the management system in order to improve it;
ensuring the necessary competence of the Center's staff;
in order to update the curricula, the results of scientific activities of the Center to transfer to the Department of scientific and organizational work and graduate school.
The center in accordance with its tasks:
develops and updates internal organizational and methodological documents, which are guided in its activities;
defines its standardization policy and informs stakeholders about the Center's policies and commitments;
ensures the functioning of the secretariat of TC 82;
performs standardization work in the field of environmental protection;
makes proposals for the formation and implementation of domestic and foreign policy of the Academy;
prepares drafts of letters, appeals, orders and instructions of the rector (chairman of TC 82);
forms proposals for participation and participates on behalf of the Academy, on behalf of the Rector, in conferences, seminars, round tables, exhibitions, etc .;
considers appeals of citizens, institutions and organizations and other issues within the competence of the Center;
provides organizational-methodical, expert-analytical and other assistance to the structural subdivisions of the Academy in resolving issues that correspond to the established directions of the Center's activity.
